“My Kind Of People” from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania based singer-songwriter Angelo Ragghianti (AKA AJ Raggs) is an uplifting, pop anthem that channels an undeniable feeling of celebration and swings hard.
Speaking of vocals, Raggs’ performance immediately conjures to mind the aforementioned influences of Jason Mraz but also I detect a hint of Maroon 5 as well. The chorus is without a doubt an ear worm with Raggs’ acrobatic vocals gleefully jumping from interval to interval. He sings with a profound joy and authenticity that is incredibly infectious delivering lyrics that you will smile to.

Any breaks in between the vocals are colored in with tasty guitar licks which serves to fill up the space without making things sound too busy. A very clever use on arrangement.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, AJRaggs - Angelo Ragghianti - has been performing for over 15 years. From the time he was 8 years old, AJ loved to sing. He dreamed of becoming a professional singer/songwriter and those dreams are beginning to take shape.
AJ plays piano and acoustic and electric guitars with a live looper pedal, and performs year-round as a member of the Schola Cantorum at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh’s North Side, at weddings, funerals, restaurants, retirement living homes, private clubs, bars, and church festivals in the Pittsburgh, and Nashville, TN areas.
