What is your earliest memory of music? And, how did you get started in music?
My earliest memory of music was Good Love by Johnnie Taylor and Po Pimp by Do or Die ft. Twista and Johnny P and also Afro Man. Just family gatherings and car rides with my mom. I got started in music just because I loved it and wanted to create my own.
What was the first song you ever wrote? What or who inspired you to start writing music?
The first song I ever wrote was called What You Want. My oldest sister inspired me to start writing music and dancing simply because she was into it.
Do you play any instruments? If yes tell us about it. If not, do you work with a band or studio musicians? Do you produce your tracks or work with a producer?
I don't play instruments, even though I can play a couple tunes on the piano and I want to learn to play as well. I currently work with no bands and that sucks, because I wouldn't mind working with one.
What is your favorite part about being an artist (performing, recording, writing, playing)?
Being a artist as a whole. I love to write, record, and perform. Just being able to have people hear me when I hit the stage is everything. I really love my fans; that's another favorite thing about being an artist, my fans will go hard for me just like I will for them.
Do you have any advice for young women pursuing music?
Tell YOUR story, no matter how bad or negative it is. Make sure they know who you are because who is better to talk about you than you? Stand on what you believe and don't be silent. Be angry, women can be angry but show that you put that anger into something positive. Don't ever stop trying and ALWAYS keep it classy mixed with a little ratchet. LOL
