For a song to win the W.A.M. Award for "Best Love Song", it has to be timeless, and Hunter and the Wick'd's "I Don't Wanna Talk Right Now" posessess all the musical elements of a song that is unforgettalbe and will resonate with any generation for years to come.

The song begins with acoustic guitar and bass setting an intimate sway. The electric guitar shimmers above the track playing sweet motifs. The lead vocals are sung by Miri Hunter who offers up a warm and soulful performance.

"I Don't Wanna Talk Right Now" is about a realtionship that is stronger than any argument or disagreement between two people who are in love. “Heated words don’t mean a thing, There’ll be light in the morning, Storm clouds move away, and everything will be clear. I don’t want to talk right now, I just want to lay up in your arms.” Miri goes onto explain how sometimes a gentle touch goes further to heal a hurt heart than words. "There’s nothing another word can say A gentle touch that's the only way ." The song also explores how sometimes you need to stop the world, find a quiet place, and reset your heart. These are all beautiful sentiments that any couple can relate to.

Throughout the song, a meditative space is created as the instrumentation gives the lovely meolodies plenty of room to breath. Guitar solos weave in and out with tasteful spurts of energy. Vocal harmonies add lovely color. The chorus is incredibly catchy and memorable. The emotional expression found in the lyrics is honest making the message easy to connect with.

Hunter and the Wick'd have written a love song that you can listen to over and over. From it's beautiful meolodies to the open, yet intimate performance, in some ways "I Don't Wanna Talk Right Now" actually feels like a real conversation between two people in love.
