Review Written by Victoria Scott & Staff

Abigail Fierce is a 19 year-old singer-songwriter and actress living in LA. She loves to write songs alone at 4am. She can be seen as Wendy on the new Hulu series "Love, Victor", Netflix's "American Vandal" and Hannah Stocking's "The Set Up."

The singer-songwriter Abigail Fierce has an illuminating message about love in her single “Pitch Dark.” A light fingerpicking on an acoustic guitar gently begins as Abigail’s smooth vocals sing a sweet melody. Her carefree vocal style has character and draws you in.

As the song moves forward, the intricate arrangement builds to a light syncopated groove with synth strings. The production and arrangement are gorgeous displaying a subtle sense of time and space.

People fall in love every day, unexpectedly, and in some ways it's like a small mysterious light coming through the dark. Abigail’s message observational, insightful and intelligent. There is such a tender feeling to this song. Abigail captures small moments in time with a questioning lyricism that allows you to discover life along with her.

“I don’t know what makes people fall in love,

Well it seems to be nothing oddly enough,

Maybe it’s paying attention to detail,

Maybe it’s just showing up,

Maybe it’s whatever starts a spark in the pitch dark.”

Abigail Fierce is an articulate songwriter with an exquisite sense of imagery and symbolism. The arrangement is subtle and complex as the instrument’s layer on each other. Even the message about love progresses as the song builds. Abigail Fierce is an exceptional songwriter who weaves intimate and intelligent threads to create a song tapestry that draws you in and keeps you mezmerized.
