Barry Rock is as a singer/songwriter who writes catchy melodies and lyrics that get stuck in your head. Born and raised in NY, Barry boasts a retro-pop musical style. In college, Barry majored in acting and played in bands, developing a magnetic stage presence. He then went on to start and own a DJ Entertainment company. From 2008-2012 Barry lived in LA where he picked up the vibe of west coast music. He incorporates these styles with incredible hooks you just can’t get out of your head. Barry’s goal is to continue writing and working with incredible musicians with song placement in TV and film. His timeless and nostalgic music is a perfect match for Disney and youth-based audiences.

When you are writing a song, where do you draw inspiration from? Or what topics do you like to sing about? Real life things and situations I find most inspiring.
Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing?
Nice restaurants, traveling and going boating.
Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?
I have a song "Flight to Nowhere". It draws from a real life experience, you know love does not always work out...
What was the first song or piece you ever wrote!? Ha, not sure I can remember exactly. But one of the 1st songs I wrote in this new entourage of great musicians I have been working with was a song called "Tonight". It kind of set the tone for what it is now as far as songwriting.
What is your dream gig? Is there a gig that you really want that would be the ultimate show for you? Citi field since Shay Stadium is no longer there.
Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year? Always, my brain never stops ha, I have 3 more in the works now.
