What is your earliest memory of music? And, how did you get started in music?

My earliest memory of music was my mom playing "The Sweetest Taboo" by Sade on Saturdays as she cleaned. I believe I was around 5. I always wanted to do music at a young age, but we didn't know how to start. My Mom happened to be in the hair salon and started chatting with someone; she mentioned that I sang and a couple of weeks later I was with her and that same lady put me on the spot She asked me to sing in front of everyone in the salon and I did. She called a producer she knew and I sang for him on the phone, then we met and that's where it all started.

What was the first song you ever wrote? What or who inspired you to start writing music?

The first Song I ever wrote was "Turn Up." No one really inspired me to start writing; it's how I express myself.

Do you play any instruments? If yes tell us about it. If not, do you work with a band or studio musicians? Do you produce your tracks or work with a producer?

I do play guitar, but I haven't picked it up in a while. No I don't produce my own songs. I work with a producer, but I have a lot of input on my projects and I have a few producer credits on a couple of my songs.

What is your favorite part about being an artist (performing, recording, writing, playing)?

The best part of being an Artist is writing and performing.

Do you have any advice for young women pursuing music?

My advise for young women starting music is stay true to yourself.

For readers who have never heard your music, can you suggest one or two songs to start with?

I will suggest starting with "No Good" and then "Crazy."

Check out the video of "Crazy."

Where can fans access your music?
