The W.A M. Awards celebrate the year’s most outstanding independent artists from around the world in multiple genres and categories. "Best Song" and "Best Album" nominations were based on Artistry, Musicianship, Originality, Professionalism, Diversity, and Excellence. W.A.M. stands for "We Are the Music Makers.' Coast to Coast Feat. The Fantastic Gems song "Live Your Life'" was the 2020 W.A.M. Award Winner for Best Song in the R & B music category.
"Live Your Life" by Coast 2 Coast featuring The Fantastic Gems has something for everyone to love. A soulful groove rolls in with a sultry jazz piano melody and a tight R & B rhythm section. The featured band includes Vassilis "Blue" Sotiriou on lead guitar; Lazaror Lazaridis on bass guitar; George Tzoukas on piano and keyboards; Stelios Tsompandis on drums; Yannis Oikonomdis on trumpet and Flugelhorn; and Alkis Kariznis on tenor and baritone sax. The horn and drum section kill the groove, emphasizing the intense and silky harmonies in the chorus. The Fantastic Gems, Warren Jones, masterfully performed together, creating a seamless transition into the magnificent trumpet solo. Morris Whitaker and Robert Finney's sexy and smooth vocals come together so perfectly. Production by Morris Whitaker, Robert, and Tanya Finney is on fire with their smooth jazz lines, and RnB runs in the lyrics.

The Coast 2 Coast has an old school R & B and Motown style that focuses on tight harmonies and funky grooves. “Live Your Life” is a tribute to their musical roots and the community that supported their music. We must enjoy life and live it with a liberated spirit. As the song says:

"Live Your Life" is an upbeat and lively tune that showcases Coast 2 Coast and the Fantastic Gems outstanding musicality. You can feel the soul and passion in each guitar riff, drum hit, and vocal run. They don't hold back in this incredible and stellar performance.

About Coast 2 Coast
Back in 1968, at Eastside High School in Paterson, New Jersey, a music group called The Fantastic Gems was born. After graduation, the talented musicians went off to college, the military, and new careers. Years later, two of the original members reformed in Washington D.C. as "Coast 2 Coast" and began recording and performing from 1986 to 1990. In 2016, The Fantastic Gems got back together to fulfill a promise they made to each other when they were young students in New Jersey. The result of their reunion was the release of The New Old Skool. The project took three years from conception to completion. The album is a tribute to their musical roots, and was made in recognition of the community who encouraged, supported and shaped their musical spirit. The New Old Skool features 11 great songs that fans of R & B,Gospel, Pop, and Jazz will love.
