Dan Ashley - 'My Favorite Time of Year'

Review by Victoria Scott & Staff

Dan Ashley’s “My Favorite Time of Year” ushers in a wonderful song just in time for the Christmas season. The song heralds the holiday with bass, electric guitar, drums, and chimes as the lead vocals guide in a heavenly choir. The choir adds a majestic and exuberant sound. This Americana folk-pop song creates a vivid imagery of Christmas time.

“My Favorite Time of Year” is a song that shares the nostalgic feelings of Christmas. It reminds you of what matters in this world - the people you love and the traditions that bring us together.

The chorus sings an uplifting message:

“They sing a merry song and we all sing along / A festive melody that tells us Christmas time is here / See the stars tonight; they’re shining bright, ‘cause it’s Christmas time and it’s my favorite time of year.”

The bridge section comes in with an engaging key change as Dan sings “Christmas Eve, still believe, so excited, can’t sleep, When the morning comes, Church bells ring, and he’s been here.” The vibe is joyous.

Dan Ashley's cheerful and spirit-filled song, "My Favorite Time of Year," is soon to become your holiday favorite. Dan’s execution of the song is profound and magical with the beautiful choir and the whimsical chimes. The song transports you into a world of peace and joy. The holiday is a time to remember what matters most and you can feel the divine joy that the holiday is all about. This is a beautiful holiday song that the whole family can enjoy.
