Inspired by the likes of Lou Reed, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, Faded Shades present a refreshing, unique interpretation of modern rock n' roll.

For fans who have never heard your music, can you pick three words to describe it?! If three words just aren't enough then tell us more!! Epic, Sonic & Shadesy

When you are writing a song, where do you draw inspiration from? Or what topics do you like to sing about? Most of our songs are about failing relationships and getting drunk. I think one slightly influences the other. Inspiration can come from anywhere, but writing is normally a way to vent frustration.

Okay, this a fun question. When you are not doing music, what else do you enjoy doing? Going to the pub! Beer and sour cream and chive Pringles are always readily available. Sometimes we play football, but really thats just an excuse to drink in the park as well.

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it? She Left Yesterday! Our newest single. Its a love lost kind of song, you can feel someone close to you becoming more distant as your goals in life drift apart over time. Its all in the eyes.

What was the first song or piece you ever wrote!? The earliest Faded Shades song you can listen to is called 'Strangely Baby' from our first album. Its in an odd time signature, and not because we were being smart, because we were not good enough to know it was! Sometimes ignorance pays off. Or maybe it was beginners luck!

What is your dream gig? Is there a gig that you really want that would be the ultimate show for you?

Brixton Academy! Greatest venue, had so many good nights in there seeing other bands and it seems like an achievable goal. Once we've got that under our belts we can start eyeing up Headline Festival slots.

Are you working on any new material right now or what's in the works for the upcoming year? Our second album! Its ready and waiting. Recorded professionally in Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate. The album is amazing and we cant wait to share it this summer!

Tell us where fans can access your music.
