The W.A M. Awards celebrate the year’s most outstanding independent artists from around the world in multiple genres and categories. "Best Song" and "Best Album" 7 nominations were based on Artistry, Musicianship, Originality, Professionalism, Diversity, and Excellence. W.A.M. stands for "We Are the Music Makers. "We Worship the King of Kings" won the 2020 W.A.M. Award for Best Lyrics in the Gospel/ Christian/ Inspirational music category. The lyrics were written by Paula Vega Vondenstein of Bible Belt Blues.

Bible Belt Blues are a husband and wife Gospel Blues duo consisting of Harold Vondenstein (vocals/guitar) and Paula Vega Vondenstein (lyricist, producer, visionary). The award winning lyrics to this song are delivered by the earthy vocals of Harold Vondenstein who also plays acoustic guitar on the track. The two artists, a lyricist and a musician/singer, create original Bentonia blues songs with bold and biblically sound Christian lyrics.

At a time when our country is feeling the pain of racism, "We Worship the King of Kings" delivers a timely message of love, unity, and hope to a weary world. While division looms, Paula's eloquent pen reminds us that Christian love is inclusive when "we all come together to worship the King of Kings."

"We are people of all color Brothers / sisters in Christ our King Every tribe, every nation, every tongue." Paula then moves on to describe the actions of those who worship together: raising hands, praising Him, bowing down. The word "We" is thoughtfully utilized to draw people together. One can feel the joy in the hand raising and dancing as well as the reverence in the bowing on bended knee. Harold's vocals are warm and rustic, setting listeners at ease as he sings, "We raise our hands in unison

To worship the King of Kings

We praise Him with our dancing

To worship the King of Kings

We bow down on bended knee

To worship the King of Kings"

Paula finds a pure message under the noise of politics, media, and society. In doing so, she brings people together, regardless of gender, race, tongue or tribe, for a common and noble purpose - to worship together. A voice for holy unity and a lyricist with a bold heart, Paula Vega Vondenstein is an award-winning writer who isn't afraid to tackle difficult subjects, and she does so with grace. "We Worship the King of Kings" ends in joy and strength. "We make a joyful noise. Trumpet, harp and tambourine."
