SnapDibz - 'Rivals Ft Rey Khan'

Review by Patrick Joseph & Staff

“Rivals” is a catchy and meditative song with depth and character. The music is rich and layered, building intricate rhythm tracks underneath a beautiful piano melody which floats underneath the song from start to finish. The vocal performances are deliberate and measured. SnapDibz shines with a strong and expressive delivery and fantastic melodic choices. The overall sound of the music is smooth yet intense.

Lyrically, “Rivals” is inspirational. “I'm above my haters now I'm facing all my Rivals never idle, engine purring like a tiger.” The energy of the music matches perfectly with the persistent feeling of the lyrics. “Growing older and I'm growing more wise learning how to live where my ambitions and my life coincide… Looking at my rivals I can take a punch I’m made of stone.” The confident delivery of these lyrics bring them to life.

The arrangement of “Rivals” demonstrates artistic, detailed work. Vocally, impressively ornamented verses shift seamlessly into precise choruses. The drum track is alive on this song, expanding and contracting with the music to create a dynamic experience.

A hip-hop verse by Rey Khan adds an edge, while a commanding performance by SnapDibz delivers irresistible melodies. “Rivals” is an absolute banger…a must listen. Stream on Spotify Follow on Instagram

About SnapDibz

SnapDibz is an independent American born Indian rapper. After years of creating underground music with DJ Dibz, Snap took the music globally alone with his first professional EP released 2/2022 titled "Levels." The EP did just that, took SnapDibz to another level with hits like the hip-hop banger "Masterplan" and the Top 40 sounding "You and I." SnapDibz continued to create track after track showing versatility and his unique style in wordplay and delivery. The clever vocals, relatable lyrics about self and life, and the trend to keep the lyrics clean help differentiate SnapDibz from other artists. "Unbreakable" brings a unique sound with it's hint of middle eastern/Indian elements in the instrumental with the sitars and tablas. "Done Believing" is another single that's made waves across the globe, often being compared to Eminem and Rhianna's "Love the Way You Lie."

More recently Snap has been working on a collaboration project with the talented vocalist Rey Khan. The first release from this project, "Backwards in My Head," remains the most streamed SnapDibz song to date. "Rivals" and the most recent release "Memory Lane" are also welcome heartfelt tracks from the project. Stay tuned for the next release titled "Sometimes" hitting platforms in March 2022.
